About the book
Essentials of Econometrics is an alternative to traditional textbooks. It was written as a compact book for an upper-division undergraduate econometrics class, and it comes with its own “living” website.
You can use the book and website as part of a self-paced, independent-study course or as a companion for graduate-level texts. We strive to present best practices and state-of-the-art methods for doing intermediate econometric work. The knowledge in these pages should poise anyone for further study or to venture out into the real world with essential econometric concepts and tools, along with a feel for the subject that is not found in other undergraduate texts.
